Hi there, has anyone had experience with the following and how did they handle this?
I have a buyer who consciously bid on TWO of our separately listed iphones and won both auctions.
They immediately requested to retract their bids on both items because “they found their lost phone”.
I feel this is a ‘change of mind’ situation and should not have to accept the request.
Your thoughts and guidance would be much appreciated.

Ebay CS will tell you the same as twyn, they may also tell you that if you force the sale completion, you run the risk of INAD claims, -ve FB, return of damaged items, loss of ebay fees, dispute fees and a sales metrics defect.
Is it worth it, up to you.

You have received excellent advice which I hope you will follow. If you proceed with the sale, even if the buyer pays which is extremely doubtful, you face a potential world of hurt with INAD etc, as already explained.
Block them, cancel the sales, move on. Give the reason for cancelling as "Buyer Request". You have an underbidder on both the sales - you could do a Second Chance Offer - but please before you consider this, check the Feedback of the underbidder/s - both for"As A Buyer" and for "Feedback Left". Read the Feedback. You do not want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. If either of them (or it may be the same person) look remotely suspicious, block them before you list again. Good Luck.
