A buyer has won a dress, she has contacted me a day after winning said item to say she realised it is wrong size so won't fit here so doesn't want to go through with purchase.  What are the next stages, do i leave negative feedback for her, and cancel the transaction??? Please help? thanks

Re: Buyer won item but wrong size and doesn't want it

You can not leave negative fb for a buyer. You could open UPI, if the buyer pay's well and good, if not close dispute and issue buyer with strike, you will get your fvf refunded and can relist. Are they new to eBay? check if they have done this type of thing before? It really does depend on the circumstance, but buyers need to realise eBay is not a shop window, once you commit to buy, you should follow through.

Thanks for your advice.  Not a new ebayer by the looks of it had a lot of transactions.  I am kinda annoyed as like you said ebay is not a shop window and she has sat on this for 8 days now and you should check the size etc before bidding

What GC said.

You can open the non payer dispute 4 days after the time and date of the sale then 4 days later from the time and date of opening the dispute you can close it and give them the well deserved strike they have earned.

Also add them to your BBL and put in place the blocks to stop non payers from buying from you.

To put these blocks in place hover your mouse over account in your my ebay page and from the drop down click on Site Preferences then go down the list till you see Buyer requirements and to the right of that click on show then click on edit. From there you can put in place the blocks you want, to stop those you want to block from purchasing from you.

In situations like this I would normally be the good service seller and ask them to agree to a mutual cancellation and give the benefit of the doubt to get the fees back.

But, and it's a big but, I have now realized that not all buyers are nice people. So, as cat said opening and closing an unpaid item case may be the way to go and means the buyer cannot leave feedback. If they do before the case is closed, you can have ebay remove it.

If a Mutual canc is sent and they click NO, you don't get fees back and cannot open a case and they can leave neg feedback.

BTW sellers haven't been able to leave neg feedback for years.

If the message they sent was via ebay messages and IF you sent a mutual agreement they declined call ebay and they will refund you after seeing the message saying they did not want it and IF they left feedback you can get it removed if it was a neg comment as they said they did not want it in the messages.

Kiaora, you have absolutely NO measurements in your listings-most buyers won't ask but do yourself a favour & put measurements in to save yourself from same problem again.
