Does anyone else continuously have problems with customers not understanding how combined postage works?
Example, I get heaps of people ask me if I combine postage (which I do) and then explain that you need to commit to buy each item (but not pay for them individually) and then the postage will combine automatically at the very end. But nearly every time they always pay for each item separately. Or people will buy the items and pay separately for each one, and then send me a message after asking me to combine the postage.
I'm finding myself needing to go into PayPal and refund postage costs nearly everyday. Even some of these members have hundreds of feedback and been a member of 5+ years.
Why is this so confusing for so many members and does anyone else have this problem?

When my daughter was living on a small rural property they used to order pizzas. The local delivery driver was too scared to enter the front gate athough the house was only a couple of steps up the path because he was greeted by a German Shepherd, a Rottweiler, 2 large horses and a small pony hanging over the fence near the front gate and 2 large long haired cats sitting on the verandah railings.
He used to sit in his van and honk the horn until someone came out.

The problem is that the rules that applied two and a half years ago generally no longer do.
A lot of sellers have since been opted into immediate payment, whether they like, or know, it or not. The ONLY possible way to get combined postage is to use the cart.
OR, my preferred option, negotiate with the seller for what you want. Get a postage and item price you both agree to and get the seller to set up a listing specifically for you.
Takes a lot less than 2 months.

Whenever I have problems like this, I send my buyer an offer. The offer is for the full price. When they accept this I send an invoice with the postage added, which they pay from.

Stop using the app - it's useless...or less than.

Very frustrating when ebey tells me 44% of my sales come from mobiles.

I also have this problem and spend a lot of time refunding buyers postage, but that aside, with Ebays new managed payments from what I read you only get a refund on Final Value fees for full refunds, so are we now going to be stung for fees on money we refund because they can't provide adequate software for mobile devices?

Unless you spend time on the phone to eBay, which isn't an option at the moment, eBay don't refund FVFs on partial refunds. Nor, more aptly, do Paypal on any refunds.
So I doubt it will be much different to the current situation.
