I have looked at your feedback and listings, and I have to say your feedback alone ( at 97.2% ) would have me hitting the back button on buying from you - the last month alone is terrible with 6 negs for 42 feedback.....

6 negs in the past month alone would put me and many others off instantly, and your poor overall feedback of just 97.2% for a high volume seller.
Regular 'boardies' here know to avoid high volume sellers with less than 99.5% as a simple matter of caring about who they by from
Especially when you just put it all back on the buyer
Obviously not want you want to hear, but most of us give factual replies
There are, however other threads from sellers complaining they are not selling as much as they did during better times
And as you have said, not many people have spare money to spend on . Any spare money I have goes on basic food, not 'smelly stuff'

I'm not a seller so i can't help with some of your questions.
But we have seen a sort of mini explosion of complaints lately from people saying their items aren't getting many views. So maybe some sellers are being affected. If you, up till now, averaged a sale every 4 hours, then a week without a sale is an anomoly, for sure.
It is true that people in this forum often advocate 99.5% before they will buy from a seller but I very much doubt that applies to the general population of ebay buyers. Many never look at feedback at all & for those who do, you've got the ebay tick of approval that says top rated seller, reputable, consistently delivers outstanding service etc. So I really don't think it is that.
It's true times are harder, with rising prices everywhere, plus I think ebay isn't what it was-it isn't the only or main buying site any more. But I would expect a more gradual downturn, not to go from 6 sales a day to none in a week.
I do think you're selling in a hard to please category. If you're mixing the scents, then they may not smell the same as the (likely stronger) chemical/commercial ones or may wear down faster.
I actually read some of the recent negs to get a feel and I did think you did well to explain how some of the buyers had left constant negatives for every seller they bought from. As a buyer, I find that info says a lot.
I also had a laugh at the person who said you were rude and called her a Karen and you replied you signed off with Karen not to be rude, but because it is your name.😂
So yes, it possibly is a bit of a go slow time with ebay but may spring back soon. In the meantime, you may just have to pay the fees unless there is a different or more cost effective way to list in future.
I bought something recently though and had no trouble paying, was able to continue with my purchase very smoothly. So I don't think that most buyers would be facing a glitch where they cannot buy or pay.

I agree with Springy in that you're selling in "hard to please" categories.
With fragrances being such a personal, individual opinion, feedback for selling in your categories may often be more a review of the product "liked the smell" , "didn't like the smell" rather than more generalised comments.
In regards to problems with the cart and checkout, there's definitely been a few threads about these problems, rightly or wrongly, since the new Cosmetic and Perfume policy came into effect.
In saying that, I seriously doubt any Chinese sellers of fake perfumes are experiencing buyer related checkout problems !
However , without hesitation, I can recommend
1) You as a seller
2) Your products
