Can I give URL for sellers to advertise

Hi

Advertising your shop - am I allowed to give out an site that will allow sellers to advertise their Family Friendly items

As the title states ( I had to cut the title down- it wouldn't accept it because it was more than 100 characters )

- I have been away from ebay for a while- and once upon a time you couldn't say the name of anything - other than ebay in the forums

I have noticed people putting links etc - so I wondered- is it OK to put a link up- where members can post - advertise - their eBay listings

it is free ( this isn't a sale )

The only catch is they must be family friendly - no porn - no gambling -

thanks

Why would ANY company (let alone Ebay) want you to advertise their competition on their site, therefore, taking away potential customers?

No.

It's against eBay policy.

Re: Can I give URL for sellers to advertise

Hi.

that's actually not what I said -

it was to advertise your eBay products on a site - your feeds to your items or to your shop

- post a free ad

- sending potential buyers to your ebay shop. not the other way around

No seller can sell anything on the site I was talking about- it is a family friendly site - which allows some people to place a free ad

not trying to get buyers to the site- as it doesn't sell anything there.

cheers 🙂

Re: Can I give URL for sellers to advertise

P.S.

I am talking about #3 in this list posted on eBay. knowing the actual sites names etc can be hard to find and I have found a few - they actually mention Craigslist and you couldn't even use the word years ago !

so the question is can I tell sellers about certain sites or should I check with ebay management first. - Or is it against the rules.

Unlike Craigslist- this site doesn't sell anything

3. Submit ads about your products to free advertising sites (using your new URL, of course) like Craigslist, Free Advertising Forum, Kijiji, and slews of niche advertisers. Always submit photos or links back to your products on eBay when given the opportunity in these free sites.
