Cant get started selling - system wont let me

I have been selling on Ebay for years and have taken the step of opening a second account, to differentiate vintage from new clothing etc,      As this is a new account,  I only have a feedback of 2 at the moment. I am trying to upload about 8 pieces of clothing to the TOTAL value of around $300 - starting prices, (ie they are not $300 per piece, $300 would be the total value)- and am being told I cant because either Im not registered as a seller - Im pretty sure I am have gone thru the steps and linked to Paypal , or have exceeding my weekly selling activity limits whatever that means, I hardly think uploading about 8 things, total value around $300, could be exceeding my weekly selling activities - SIGH! Advice anyone?? : )  PS I am doing this thru Turbo Lister, would I be better off painstakingly listing each one individually ?

Try linking credit card to ebay for fee's, this is usually all that is required

I personally dont own any credit cards, Should I just start selling even less stuff, I have already cut the list drastically from what I was originally going to list.

Just typed up a response and lost it GRRR X-(

Leave Turbo Lister out of it - and test with a normal (online) listing first.

On the second page of the listing form, at the very bottom there is a button that says "Continue". Above that, if it says the following stuff...

To become a seller, additional information may still be required. If you cannot provide this information immediately, your draft listing can be accessed from the 'Sell' start page when signed in.

You've almost finished creating your listing. Click Continue below to complete your seller account setup (one-time only).

... then your account is not yet set up to sell.

Doesn't matter what you list - you MUST have the selling ID set up first.

All sellers have to have a Credit Card on file now days. Your old ID may be flying under the radar, until you try to upgrade it (eg: to a Featured Store), then they will block you.

Get a Visa card - debit type attached to your bank account.

But first, get onto eBay by PHONE (not live help) using the Customer Service link at top right. They will guide you through it.

Sorry - my first reply was a but misleading - I don't own a credit card either, but I linked my Visa/Debit card and it works the same way as actual CCard. Sorry, should have been more specific

Once you have your account set up for selling you will still have the 10 item for new sellers restriction but you can apply to increase the number of listings, you will then get a link to give your existing selling id, ebay will send an email to that accounts email address and once you confirm it your limit will be raised.

They must have changed it. When I tried to link to my other account, they wanted phone verification. Given I don't have a landline, that wasn't an option. So I linked my Visa and got 100 or $7,500.

For some new accounts, the monthly selling limit is 10. In the regular eBay webpage, under All Selling, go to the top and look for Monthly Selling Limits. That will tell you how many things you can list as separate auctions for the month at any one time. If you've sold 2, the max you can sell (and therefore list at the one time) is 8. Maybe there's a problem with Turbo Lister, so try listing 7 and see if that helps or do it by the eBay webpage.

hi fashion, reading through the replies I would concur with pj (phorum junkie). I think you are just frustrated.

Just one more suggestion to add... Why don't you add your new user name to your existing PayPal account. That way you will not need to go through verification.
