Two weeks ago, I experienced a situation where my sales were placed on payment hold. I contacted the customer service team for assistance, and they advised me to switch from standard parcel shipping to untracked letter service to resolve the issue. However, since making this change, my sales have decreased by 33% and are continuing to decline. I am curious if others have encountered a similar situation and if there are any recommendations to address this issue. I am considering either reverting to tracked shipping and accepting a lower profit margin on items that would typically go untracked, or increasing the promoted percentage amount on my listings. Thoughts?

Definitely change it back to tracked items.

Large letters can be 2cm, as long as they are under 500g.
I use them all the time.

They said to change it to untracked as this will bypass the hold as it is only needed for tracked parcel methods.

Yeah I think so too. Untracked pushes out the delivery eta as well. Not appetising at all.
Yeah they said that untracked would bypass the transaction hold 😕 might be a coincidence with drop of sales but seems a bit fishy

I used to get messages from ebay showing my tracked item performance and there was always mention of not dropping below a certain percentage score or restrictions would be placed. The ebay advice sounded right to me and only took 5 minutes to find it.
So if you send untracked as long as you have that selected in the listing there are no holds. Otherwise they will hold the funds till after the last delivery date if you have dropped below the seller standard they allow.
As far as the OP's sales are ebay may have pinged his listings for the defect. Having untracked items does not always mean less sales as every buyer is different and those shopping by price won't use best match.
