Say they were each $8.50 postage but would fit in a large satchel for $13.50, do you get charged the 9.9% on the $13.50 or on each individual post ? I would of course be even more horrified than I am alrady if it was the latter one !!! Thanks

If you send an invoice with the combined postage cost, you are only paying FVF on that cost. If the buyer has paid for each item separately, then you pay FVF on each postage amount.

Thanks - that is how it should be of course (not that they should be profitting from postage at all) but I am glad to hear that.
Thanks

We find that its not uncommon that we send out an invoice giving discount for the combined postage and then the buyer fails to pay against the invoice.
They ignore the invoice and go ahead and pay for each item in individual transactions. Doh! Sometimes you have to wonder!
Of course we are then slugged an extra 30-cents transaction fee for each of the extra transactions by PayPal. And then you pay ebay the FVF on the postage for each item too. So our postage component is quickly wittled away by fees.
However, we still combine and post the items out in a single package.
So if/when that happens we don't do any partial refund since the buyer has been too silly to accept our discount offer on the invoice in the first place.

If they pay on seperate invoices then I treat them as individual transactions and post them accordingly. I state very clearly in my listings that a discount is only available for items paid on a single invoice where the postage works out cheaper.

try quicksales owned and run by carsales, no listing fees, no final value fees, no rip off postage fees and it all runs like ebay you can even import your turbo lister items into quicksales

Very little traffic on there the way I understand it.
Hence, very few sales as well.
