Click & Send -- Ship from state is invalid

I am trying to send a 500gm satchel via C&S and keep on getting this message when trying to add to cart.

"Ship from state is invalid"

My ship from address is valid in QLD.

I've tried re-saving my own address but the error is persisting.

I can't seem to get past this one.

Anyone know how to get past this error?

Crazy AP website.

I just kept on re-trying several times and eventually the error message went away and it worked.

How can a professional website be so flaky.

And to boot now this service is up from $7.15 to $8.00.

Why is it that outfits like ebay and AP charge higher fees and reduce their services?

As soon as we use up all our stock of the ebay satchels then we will just go over the AP counter. Only 25-cents more for less headaches.

log out and log in again. Do they increased the price to $8 now? It was $7.15 last time I use.

That happens to me a lot, the first page with the address on fails to load the state select option, I just refresh it and it loads.

If you're using C&S regularly you may find it quicker to create items if you select the option "Use single page item creation process" under Admin > My Preferences.

Re: Click & Send -- Ship from state is invalid

We have left-over C&S satchels to use up. I thought I had to use them up first. We still have stock left.

I have never used the ebay labels. Dont know how it works.

Do you pay on-the-fly? eg using a plastic card?

Or does it just add on to the ebay monthly fees?

I like to keep postage and fees separated for my tax accounting purposes.

Re: Click & Send -- Ship from state is invalid

Hi, As of yesterday C&S is no longer connected to Ebay as it was. You now have to print your labels through Ebay & the cost is added to your monthly seller fees. I did my first labels this morning, it is going to cost heaps more in A4 paper as you can only print one label at a time & you will only be able to get 2 labels in total by reusing the same sheet. The labels are too large to print 4 to a sheet even if you feed the paper back through. Poor effort by Ebay to take over the postage yet not have the label printing up to scratch & so we loose even more money on this whole postage thing.

A little false advertising re the discount - ebay is charging exactly what click & send were charging when connected to Ebay but Ebay are making like they are doing us a favour for a few months saying its discounted postage......I think they are buttering us all up.... I feel an increase in label printing cost comming in a few months - wait & see. I bet Ebay has a deal with Aust Post to take over click & send at a low cost & then that means Ebay can charge us what they like....there will soon be no cheaper mail here or at Australia Post .

Btw to print a label just click on Print label next to the item in your 'sold' page.

Re: Click & Send -- Ship from state is invalid

Thanks for the tip on where to find the label print function.

I just went into one of our sales to be mailed tomorrow to try it.

I got an error message that says the mail to address cannot be verified, please mail with Australia Post directly.

So that seems like a dud to me.

Lots of our customers put their suburb in line #2 of the address and in the city field put the capital city name. This probably means that the postcode will not match the city in most cases so we will get this same error.

In this particular case the buyer puts Woodville Gardens on Line #2 and puts Adelaide in the city field. So 5012 is not the postcode for Adelaide, but it is for Woodville Gardens. I'm sure this is what the problem is.

It is exactly the same in C&S, clarry.

Just replace Adelaide with Woodville Gardens and it will go through.
