I sold an item for $95.00 from Australia to the UK.
The buyer paid Ebay $154.26, which included $33.55 for postage and $25.71 VAT collected by EBay, (which was over 25%. I only got paid $58.76, which doesn't even cover my costs. What's going on here????

What is going on with leaving a non-payer positive feedback and telling others to beware of them?
And positive feedback for abusive byers etc
Quite a habit
Nobody else has a clue who you are talking about
Leaving false positives is a breach of policy
If the 'buyer' reports it, or the bots pick up on it, they will ding your account
It's surprising they have not done so already
All it does is encourage non payers to do it again because they will see they can not pay and you will give them a green tick for doing so
As for the question
Is part of the payment still on hold since eBay consider you a 'new' seller (since you only have 3 recent feedback)?
What does the breakdown of your payment say?

some EU countries have high GST ( 15%+).. eBay adds their GST rate onto your final sales amount and you pay more in fees , to pay for services in that country with high GST..... 20% maybe even 25% in a few..
that's why i removed All EU countries from most my items listed.
Why should i pay more in fees cause a country i don't live in charges them more in tax so they can "try " and provide more government services... The EU is toast as long as they have to align with EU policies.
