EBay - your customer service sucks, spent 5 hours on the phone today to sort out a problem and still not resolved. I really hope you get some serious competition as if your customer service stays the same they will wipe the floor with you.

While Australian companies insist on basing their help centres off shore to save money customer service will remain carp.
Even if eBay did have strong competition they would do the same, base their script reading bots in whatever country costs the least amount of money.

Only 5 hours?
I have several matters outstanding for between 6 and 12 months now. Multiple phone calls, chats and emails. An improvement is the call back service so I am no longer spending $$ calling them.

I called them complaining that the seller not fulfil the purchase and I was told nothing they can do. I asked if they can escalate to supervisor and I was told there is no use. They donโt care your problem and lost.

Did you pay for an item and not receive it?
Open a case for Item Not Received and get your money back.

What are they going to do?
The item remains the property of the seller, payment notwithstanding, until they hand it over/post it.
If you think you have been hard done by and suffered a MATERIAL loss (which is not the same as missing out on something cheap) then take the seller to court.
There are precedents, but they were with specific sets of circumstances, which you probably haven't encountered.

If it's the phone, you dodged a bullet.
Seller's feedback is -1
You were never getting it
