I was cought up again in the same situation which prompted me to get rid of paypal and ebay.Bloody crooks on ebay.
Besides thieves who never sent goods last time one thief from West Sydney sold me a brand new camera which in fact had
1000 shots, this time a generator seller selling a "brand new" one with oil and petrol in.Seller wants to send a courier to collect
the item.Paypal gives me 10 days to send.As one with petrol would not be accepted by AP I would need to use expensive
courier. That's how it works.Crooks and thieves at work.

I make it as simple as possible. There are thieves on ebay selling you a used item as new.You have to open a case to get your
money back.Paypal accepts that and asks you to send the item back. Then you are panished for buying from a crook with high
cost of shipment. That should be paid by the crook not myself.

A bit more. The seller accepted he sent a used item instead of new and wants to use a courier to get that back.Paypal then sends me
an email stating I have to send it within 10 days.If the seller does not pick the item within 10 days i lose the case if I opt to wait.
So within that 10 days I have to send it back for what I have to pay.Crooks should pay and not buyers for return of goods.
Thanks to paypal a bu

I thought that the 30 day money back guarantee ebay offers now solves these type of issues?
on 16-12-2014 04:34 PM
I do not know anything about that.As far as I know buyer is "covered" by paypal but you only get back for the item and shipment.
Return post is your loss so you are panished for the action of a crook.

If the item is not as described, which that's what it sounds like, then the seller has to pay the cost of the return.

Yes but if you claim it through ebay and not paypal then you won't be out of pocket at all with the 30 day money back guarantee.

I recently bought a brand new petrol hedge cutter. I wanted to take it new as
I didn't have plans to use it for a couple of months.
The dealer said that he had to put petrol and oil in it and start it to make sure it was running.
Does that make it 'used' if I decided to sell it on ebay?
Your generator may be new.
BTW, the brand on my hedge cutters was STIHL bought from an authorised dealer and putting petrol and oil
in and started it was part of their service.

How do you do it.Paypal claims you have to pay for returning goods. That is what upsets me.
