Does anyone actually bother doing those survey questionnaires. Ebay could not care less.

Has anyone actually bothered to respond to those dumb questionairres you get after wasting your time speaking on the phone to Ebay? We all know they never get read and any issues or complaints are never responded to or fixed. A seller on Ebay ranks just above the the stuff being pumped through our sewage pipes by their staff

oh well we will have to diagree, but i do agree with some of your posts,

by the way I have never been wrong , have you always been right,  what are facts  when a poster says something  and you all agree with them , how many posters agreed with the op said that the seller sent a parcel too late and he already shifted,  how many posters felt sorry for the buyer who said she paid $650 for the concert tickets , only paid $200 ,the tickets were just sold by te seller $300 less than at first sold for.  posters were saying go to the police ,[how can she]. there are too many grey things , a lot of the times there are no right or wrong answeres,  have a nice day

Joe, I think if you go back and read the threads you are talking about you will find that.....

a) nobody agreed with the OP who complained about a parcel that was sent late and the buyer had moved.

b) there was quite a lot of ambiguity over the concert tickets...it was all in how posters interpreted the information given.

c) there is always going to be disagrement whenever members are advised to go to the police....going to your local police station is not the way to handle an ebay problem....reporting to the online fraud squad it the right way to go.

If I give out the wrong information, I would hope that someone experienced would point out my error and correct me. I am more than happy for anyone to do that, providing the correction is in fact correct. I will not scream that black is white just to prove a point. It makes it hard for people who read the forums, who don't post, if the wrong information is given and someone insists that it's correct.

I would much rather be corrected so I know for next time if someone else asks the same thing. Better than giving the wrong information and finding buyers/sellers getting themselves into strife. I suppose some people can take corrections from others and other people can't......

Sheepy, there's no point arguing with somebody who flatly refuses to listen. Far better to completely ignore him and if he stops receiving the attention he so obviously craves, he'll probably go and annoy somebody at Whirlpool (assuming he lasts more than a couple of days on that site).

Up until 12 months ago I also filled out the surveys, maybe not brown-nosing but giving eBay the benefit of the doubt when scoring and filling the comments boxes.

But, as the goal posts have kept moving, and we have become less autonomous in our dealings with our Buyers, I have filled out these surveys more honestly - bringing up site glitches, website crashes, no thorough evidence-based process to sort out disputes, throttling, etc I have had much slower sales (March-May 2014 590 transactions - March-May 2015 195 transactions so far) Lucky I am only a hobby seller!!

It may be a coincidence but sales in the 2-3 weeks after completing a survey not recommending selling on eBay sales are very scarce and some of my regular Buyers say they are unable to to find me, my store or my listings unless they are on their watch list.

I understand that eBay is providing a platform for us to sell BUT we are paying for that service, through listing fees, FVFs, postage FVFs and store fees. It is the service that isn't being provided to us (their customers) when we pay for this it that is most frustrating. Too much like a one way street.

Service and trust needs to go both ways - between users and eBay and between Sellers and Buyers - and it did but the defect system etc has eroded this, sadly. I wonder if we will ever get it back.

I understand that the world has moved on but it can't be right that they can take our money for a service they say they wil provide and only provide part of that service, when they feel like it.

Just giving you my two-bobs worth Smiley Wink Jo

I'll be honest i'm to scared not to brown nose.

Look a Joe he continues to brown nose to Ebay. ha ha Smiley Tongue

That some posters on eBay are bald-faced liars and hypocrites should come as no great surprise, slr.

By crikey, that sounds likes a particular sock.

joe, I must be mistaken when I recall that when it was pointed out to YOU that YOU had posted information by way of courier connote numbers on the boards that could identify your customer by name, address, phone number and signature YOU posted that no such information could be viewed unless someone hacked into the system, and that hacking would be illegal.

Maybe my memory is wrong and you didn't post the connote numbers and we couldn't view the information.  I'll go back and check, but apologise to you in advance for my mistake and being wrong.

edit: Oh wait, it turns out that I wasn't wrong after all.  Joe did post connote numbers and asked members to check the tracking, and there at the bottom of the tracking page there was a graphic that showed his customer's personal private details including name, address, phone number and signature, as well as the sender details.

He then posted that there were no details on the tracking.  Joe, you were wrong!   Found some screengrabs to show this.

and the graphic, with private information blocked, looked like this
