Just received eBay's latest assistance to sellers *Ebay's NEW HEALTH CHECK* .
This may be old news but they are moving timed BUY IT NOW and will move all my listings to GOOD TIL CANCELLED. Well that is not what I want but then again we have no say.
This does not suit me for many reasons with something new I like to use 10 days as an option. The rest are 30 day listings which gives me the option to adjust the listings if they are not attracting buyers or watches. I will sometimes group them with other items etc.
I find the 30 day listings far more manageable for my business needs.
So if all fixed listings are good til cancelled I dare say the next step will be for those with ebay stores will be reduced with the amount of fixed listings in their subscription.
Good til cancelled also means there will be a hell of a lot of old stock on there for years or if I remember correctly they were bringing in limited time for listings.
I have had my vent but OH SO FRUSTRATING makes me wonder why I am doing this.

"Up to 600 fixed price listings or auction-style listings in the Collectables category"
Fixed price listings in any category are free with a store (up to 600 for a basic store), but auctions still cost, unless they are in the collectibles category.
For example if you had 500 fixed price (buy it now) listings in any category and 100 auctions in collectible categories, they would all be free to list in a store. But if you had 500 fixed price listings (any category), and 100 auctions in a non-collectible category, those 100 auctions would cost you $165.

OP said that. A fortnight ago.

No. It means they can continue to do 3,5 or 10 day listings in the guise of auctions.

I had 24 listings roll over tonight. They still had 4 free auto relists on them. They rolled over, the auto relists disappeared AND the 24 came off my remaining free relists for the month. Is that how it was supposed to work?
Sorry to sound dumb, but I obviously am, as I'm completely confused by all the discussions.
Should I be complaining about the 24 coming off my "frees" or is that supposed to happen.
Thanks for any clarification (if that's possible).

As reported, according to CS, this is correct. As opposed to the email from eBay a fortnight ago, which stated that they wouldn't incur relist fees first time around.
I have written evidence of the pay this time, then never again, so we'll see what happens in 30 days. I suspect the ACCC will become involved at that point.

I did a quick calculation. You need sales of about $50k per month before the move to anchor status is justified

Has anyone tried listing using the advanced lister (whatever that is) to see if options other than GTC can be selected as stated in eBay's first message? I tried posting a 30 day listing using a third party lister but it turned into a GTC listing once posted to eBay.

The advanced listing tool is just the normal (full) listing form via PC, but it's being called 'advanced' now because there's a quick listing tool which has less features. GTC is the only option available for BIN on the normal listing form.
