Well if they were giving a % of our fees to Tony Abbott, I wouldn't feel so bad about collecting them.

You appear to be looking at the summary, in the summary the postage FVF are bundled in with the sale FVF. If you look at your detailed transaction report you will see exctly what you have been charged for each sale. This is where it is shown as FVF and FVF on postage.

We pay way to many fees
Yesterday I sold 6 Birdkeeper magazines for only $12, I try to keep my prices as low as possible and sell them cheap, I have seen individual mags being sold for $5. But yesterday it was not worth selling the mags at all because of the fees I paid
Final value fee = $1.19
Final value fee on shipping = $2.48 (overseas buyer)
PayPal fee = $1.63
Total paid in fees = $5.30
So $12 - $5.30 = $6.70, this is all I made from selling my mags for $12, why so many fee’s, now I know why they try to discourage sellers being paid by bank deposits because eBay gets paid a second lot of fees with PayPal.

Likewise, I am no longer listing items on Ebay. According to others they say this is legal but ethical definitely not, its just greedy money grabbing exercise. I will sell my items elsewhere.

You're very kind. I've underqooted too at my loss. It's really hard to stay on top of the game - Ebay manages too though of course!
