Ebay sales slump...direct result of TOO EARLY notification federal election

Hi all,

I feel that ebay sales will remain in a slump until the Federal elections are over [September]

The elections were called WAY TOO EARLY and the whole country is suffering the consequences with the result that my sites are hibernating at the moment [but probably not for long]

One  site has received an 400000 free listing offer? Silly really!!

I agree, from my 40+ years experience, the moment elections are announced it gets quiet.  Even when the result is pretty much known in advance, and in most cases it really will not make much of a difference to anybody's day to day living.   

But I would not hold my breath about people spending after the 14th; if Tony gets in and starts cutting jobs and removing some of the benefits, people are more likely to hold onto their money.

I'm not sure what the reasons are but I know this place is almost dead at present. Hell, I have more lookers on the opposition site and that is REALLY is dead. I have one item up which would normally have in excess of 200 lookers by this stage and there is about 40 currently looking and that's really bizarre!

I am sure that this does factor into why sales are dead at the moment.But the biggest reason is ebays Best match search engine,Ebay are destroying us sellers with this ridiculous search engine which makes our items hard to find.Even if people are not buying,They still look and bookmark,,And according to page views,This is hardly happening now.,So i think that 10-20% could be the Election reason,But the other 80% is definetly Ebay.

I actually have more watchers than ever before, and even had few sales in the past few weeks, but that might be because I listed so much more  🙂
