Hi,
just wondering how people package their records so they arrive undamaged to their destination?
thank you.

Send it in between two pieces of cardboard cut from a reasonably thick cardboard box from Bunnings, cut to a little bit bigger than the item itself so you can tape the edges together to enclose it.
THE TRICK is to put the two panels together with the "lines" in the cardboard running in different directions. This doubles the stretch of the package, and pack it right with tape so the record can't move around inside.
I've sent many brand new, thin self-published square books this way. Never, ever had a problem.

Oops I meant "doubles the strength" of the package.

Why buy cardboard when Bunnings has plenty of free cardboard? Hard enough trying to make a profit without paying for packaging material

I use cardboard from a radiator repair place. These are nice big, flat sheets of heavy duty cardboard, designed to protect the fine cooling fins of the radiator from damage in transit. Ideal for packing records.
