Contacted Res Centre re 'buy it now"(BIN).
1/ BIN with PayPal(PP) introduced to cover sellers from dodgy buyers.
2/ BIN without PP,buyer "may have their own reasons" as to why they do not pay immediately... and ....the buyer is misusing the BIN feature by doing so, does knowingly misusing the BIN mean dishonesty..yes.
3/ eBay advises all to inspect where possible before sale,so do I.
Decided to put my boat back on once more WITH PP.
Guess what, 3 offers and no dishonest manipulation of the BIN by ending the sale and blocking honest bidders/eBayers.

the fracture in your make-up.
Can't wear make-up because I am allergic. Good job my stunning good looks don't need any help :^O
How could you possibly know if you will receive notice of a chargeback for the payment in six, seven or more month's time or not?
The simple fact is that if it happens you will not be able to defend it, Paypal will get the money back from you and your only recourse will be to find the buyer and prove that they defrauded you!
There is only a very small chance of that happening but to stick your head in the sand and say it could not happen is very shortsighted. I hope you asked for photo id which had the buyer's address exactly as it was on the Paypal page, that you got them to sign to say they had taken the boat after paying $xxxxxx by Paypal and also noted their car rego.

If you received a payment by paypal you DID pay a commission to paypal....to state otherwise is nonsense.

Hi Orange5 - yes our paths have crossed, unfortunately the koala tends to nod off when bored, falls out of his darn tree and has been known to cause injury. Mind you he is a nice koala once you get to know him, albeit with a bit of an evil streak ]:)

Can someone do a thread closing ceremony? I don't even understand what a Paypal boat cruising down the Seine River with koala's & cats as passengers has to do with some type of Commission-did I misunderstand the MONTH old OP??? ;\
