False PayPal information

I've just tried to sell my iphone for the third time without success. Each time these people have sent me false PayPal statements declaring that I've been paid. The last buyer,<Removed>, is now accusing me of a scam when I have his false PP statement here and which has been sent to PayPal who are checking him out. I will not answer questions to potential buyers. is there anything else that I can do?

Unfortunately gibbo you are not allowed to name & shame on here. The mods will remove the ID  shortly.  I think you may need to do some homework regarding Paypal and its usage. Give them a call and find out if all your information is correct and up to date. Also be careful about Scammers and Phishing emails that say they are from Paypal.  Hope things get better for you in 2015

I think you had better ring paypal and or ebay. Firstly to check the persons paypal payment to see if it was legit. You have been left neg feedback which is not going to make it easy to sell. If it was a scam paypal payment then contact ebay to get that neg feedback removed.

It is very unusual for a scammer to leave feedback, I suspect it may for once be you who did something wrong with that buyer. I am an experienced member who has been buying and selling on ebay for over a decade and even I would be cautious about selling an iphone on ebay or any other on line site. With no feedback for selling and now sitting at minus one I doubt if any legitimate buyer would go near your listing anyway.

I would think the only way to sell would be using a very popular social media site where the buyer comes and collects and hands over cash.

List with immediate payment required.

You can only offer PayPal if you do that, but the item can not be sold unless it is paid for - that will also help determine what other issues may be arising with the use of PayPal (if someone checks out on eBay and sends a real PayPal payment to you, the shopping trolley and $ icons next to the sold item in eBay will fill in and turn blue, if there is an hourglass instead of a fllled in $ sign, it means the payment has been made but it is pending, and that can happen for a few different reasons, eg because the buyer paid by eCheque, or because there was an error when entering the email address on the listing, so the payment doesn't go to the right address, or because the buyer funded their payment with a credit card and the PayPal account is just a personal one, in which case the payment needs to be manually accepted, but generally it's better to upgrade to a premier account if you'll regularly be selling).
