Having read the huge volume of information, comments, complaints, conflicting opinions and confusion, it would seem to me that feedback is the one area of ebay which doesn't really work as intended.

It is one sided how could it ever work it is only there to make the buyer & ebay look great. Every buyer has a 100% feedback even if the buyer has Unpaid Item strike

Generally Ebay feedback system works. It does give a customer a potential idea of what we sellers are like - especially the new buyers who haven't quite made the conversion to buyin with ebay. In my opinion I would like to see more customers come onto ebay continually and for this I think it works.
I accept that neg feedack is part of the landscape even if a seller feels slighted. I Try to turn a neg into a positve. I always apologise to the customer even if I don't agree because I am thinking of how my next buyer is going to interpret my reponse. The buyer is scared to buy from an aggressive seller.
I agree its hard but I accept it and enjoy my customers for the most part - otherwise its boring.

I'd be just grateful to get feedback....good or bad! I reckon I get one buyer in 30 leaving feedback. No-one seems to bother leaving it for me any more. I don't leave feedback for people now unless they've left it for me first because I got sick of feedbacking buyers, then getting nothing in return.

eBay doesn't favor sellers but it seems to favor buyers more.
I would imagine if sellers were favored over the buyers, the buyers comming into eBay would be considerably less since sellers are entitled to be **bleep**s.
Just goto a busy restrurant in Hong Kong, and they will be rude as hell.. because they can and know that there more customers then they can handle,...
