Feedback

Is there a way to make sure a seller leaves feedback?

I tend to get good feedback but I also get a lot of no feedback.

Is that the usual experience? I always leave feedback selling or buying.

Regards

Marc

Re: Feedback

Maybe, good thought

but my Powerseller accounts have different dates on them, so that suggests those accounts aren't linked to a forgotten original,

ah well, sorry for the hijack, was just curious

yeah the name change shouldn't matter, its still the same account (and I change my name pretty regularly, but always go back to crikey), but this account is only about 3 years old, so NFI where they pulled this date from!

How do you change your name? I'd like to change mine 😄

Re: Feedback

I go in through here - you can change your ID name every 30 days if you want to

Changing Your User ID

It will still show in your history though, so your old name doesn't just disappear

Re: Feedback

Maybe I might wait as some of my regular sellers I buy from know me by my ID (and name) and I think they sometimes go that extra mile for me being a return customer. I might change it when I have a quiet buy/sell period. I'll keep that link though, because I do want to change at some point.

Now, I need to change the subject, but back to the original subject of Feedback. I just received a bid on one of my items and as per usual, I check the feedback left for others. From what I can see 'he' always seems to leave green dots, BUT most of them are really bad comments. He seems to have an issue with photos and isn't backwards in coming forward with his feedbacks. Everyone gets accused of photoshopping their photos because the item he gets might be one shade of yellow lighter than the photo.

The item he has bid on looks pretty much how it is in the photo, but knowing that people's colour settings can be different, he may accuse me of that too. Given that he seems to leave green, regardless of the comment, I'm wondering if I should be worried. I've only ever had 1 red dot before, from a crazy woman who bought, then inspected, then drove away with it, then her husband decided HE didn't want it, so I got a case opened for significantly not as described and a red dot (which ended up going to court and much to their horror....we won!!).

I suppose as long as it's a green dot, it shouldn't really matter.....should it?

Re: Feedback

It shouldn't.

However if they mark described as 3 or shipping time as 1 or 2 even though leaving a positive, it will count as a defect under eBay's new system of enhancing the buyer experience.

Re: Feedback

Ahhh yes, good point, I didn't think of that. I got a defect a couple of weeks ago for glowing positive feedback, only to get whacked with 2 stars for postage costs (actual postage cost $6.80, charged postage cost $7).

He places so much importance on exact colouring in photos, even for something like a DVD cover. Most feedbacks say something like "photo obviously enhanced" or "photo obviously photoshopped" or "exactly as described, but photos obviously enhanced". One seller flew back and said "photo NOT enhanced, it's called a flash". Good for them I say! I tried to check some of the sellers DSR's, but they're all large volume sellers with good star ratings, so not sure if he's leaving low ones or not.

The item still had 4.5 days to go, I might have to sleep on this one I think.
