Games Console Promotion Rate at 41% - WHY?!

Nearly all Promotion Rates that I use range from 3% to 11% max, most around 7%

Does anyone know why Games Consoles (ie PS3 PS4 XBox 360 etc) has suddenly jumped up to 41%!!!!!?
It was hovering around 7-8% a couple of months ago...

At a guess, it's because other sellers keep offering incrementally higher rates to get their items to show. It can be a spiral.

Just don't play the game. If your goods are good, you shouldn't have any problems selling.

Don't forget that those promotions only really work for buyers who don't use any refinements and simply use the default of 'best' match.

Yeah agreed, WE have NEVER used promoted listings and we still get more sales than my competitors right now because I started at the cheapest and worked my way up the algorithm

I know you're trying to get a bite, but I can't see anywhere in this thread where I mentioned my sales at all. I offered a possible reason, you added nothing except shots at other members. That seems to be the difference between us.

Not to mention filtering. Anything less than gold dust for dave and you remove it. So how many profiles do you post with?

I thought filtering was apt. The OP didn't say what sort of filter they were after.
