Will be avoiding this outdated selling site which was once fantastic but no more. Could not care less attitude means there is nobody to contact with a specific problem. Ebay are constantly making selling a more difficult and challenging task each year. Greed has taken over and I believe sellers have left in droves. Would never be recommending this site to anyone. Negative feedback is all it deserves. No stars. Harry.

I'm fully aware of what used to go on with multiple IDs, the upsets when the kudos system was introduced, and all the rubbish that used to happen on the boards, thanks, lol
The OP wrote "a site which was once fantastic" and
I was actually trying to focus on the positives of the old eBay with:
"What happened to all the seller groups ?
Sports, books, stamps, collectables etc.
Those boards used to be full of sellers discussing their interests and helping each other.
rather than the negative side.
Not once have I said that I thought "sellers have left in droves" or that there's been any kind of "mass exodus".

No-one needed to use a different ID.
Sellers have up and gone.

No, there was no need to use a different ID. But you now admit that they did, and the reasons for doing so were not for a friendly or helpful chat.
The tone of your comment.....
Sellers have up and gone......
Seems to be a validation of the OP's comment that sellers have left in droves

No doubt your delightful little eBay message will reduce your fees for you
Says far more about you than anyone here

It's almost impossible to contact eBay now. It's a deliberate deterrent on their part. The fees and commissions charged are outrageous too.
I wouldn't recommend eBay to anyone...sorry!

The fees eBay charges are basically the same as back when Paypal could be used by sellers.
I wouldn't recommend eBay to anyone...sorry!
Yet you have 20 current listings................
