Getting PAID

I've just recently started to sell on ebay. I used to sell a lot a few years ago but have only been using ebay to buy until recently. I'm having trouble getting my head around the new, convaluted payments to the seller. I want to know when I can get paid for goods that I owned and sold on ebay, with the funds apparently being available. I WANT MY MONEY FOR THE SALES OF MY PROPERTY THAT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY EBAY.IT SEEMS LIKE I HAVE TO BEG FOR MY OWN MONEY??? WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS SITE. IT USED TO BE SO SIMPLE - LIST AN ITEM-GET PAID-POST THE ITEM-LEAVE AND RECIEVE FEEDBACK ---SIMPLE!!! It seems that I have to BEG for my own money. Isn't this a form of theft?? I want to list a lot of items for sale but am now too scared as I worry that I will not get my money or have to jump through hoops, beg..and wait for A LONG TIME! What has happened to ebay??

Re: Getting PAID

Hey mate, basically you have to link your bank account to eBay for direct deposits into it (they use Ayden, it doesn't go to your PayPal account anymore, if that's what you're wondering).  And then you gotta wait a month for the money to come in so that eBay can help the buyer with any issues or scams which may result from the sale.  This is because you haven't been selling for a long time, so you are classed as a newbie again and this also protects the buyer in case your account was hacked.  It's just their procedure now.

Re: Getting PAID

It doesn't matter how much you sold years ago, the rules apply to all sellers and all sellers agree to those rules when they list

Have you fully completed sign up to Managed Payments and been verified to sell?

All sellers have been required to do so for over 6 years now

You agreed to the 15-30 days hold on your funds when you listed, and yes, the holds will apply to all sales until you prove yourself as a seller, and again if you go a long time between selling

None of your completed listings are close to being 30 days ago

Begging is not going to achieve a single thing

No, it is not theft, it is the terms you agreed to when you listed

"It seems that I have to BEG for my own money"

Note that even if you've linked everything correctly and your available  funds aren't showing a payout date:

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814&srsltid=AfmB...

With all the changes approaching and if you're  Free Selling , under  'On Demand' payouts, you won't have

to beg but you'll need to 'Request a Payout'.  It won't be done automatically

Re: Getting PAID

I too have just sold an item, first for about 10 years, it will in all probability be the last as well.

Not fully understanding the new system I went ahead and sold and was advised by eBay that purchaser had paid, I mailed the item away on Tuesday, is there a button to press to say that it’s been sent? I can’t see one, maybe you don’t have to anymore. Seriously dislike the new eBay.

Re: Getting PAID

If you shipped the item with tracking, when you upload the number it will automatically show as sent.

If you shipped as an untracked letter, click on the three dots next to the "Get postage label" button on the order details page, and select "Mark as sent" from the dropdown list.
