I have bought and sold from ebay for years, but just in the past few months I have noticed a dramatic increase of non-paying buyers. I get so frusterated with this, so much that when I see a buyer having 20 stars or less I automatically know they probably won't pay and I don't want to discriminate against all newer ebay accounts but I am just sick and tired of having something sell, then having to re-list because the buyer never pays and never messages me back. I have noticed that these types of buyers mostly have between 5 to 20 stars, but the most common number is 11. Has anyone else noticed this? Why isn't Ebay doing something about it? Most of their money comes from us sellers and I'm just about done with selling over Ebay.

Yes a proverbial pain in the rear. I have just opened 2 unpaid item cases this morning. One mind you had nearly 300 points and looks like he did the same thing recently. I never mind waiting for payment but now have zero tolerance for bad manners when they won't even acknowledge my emails. Shame !! Shame !!! Shame !!

I had two non payers recently - both bought on the same day! One had a really good buying record so no idea what went wrong there. I gave them all the notifications they were entitled to but neither got in touch with me, so both now have strikes against them.

I used to send nice friendly reminders but have to admit with the recent increase in non payers I have got a bit more ruthless. I give them seven to ten days to pay ( yes I know its a long while ) and then just go straight to the non payment dispute without warning. Around half pay straight away, the others get a strike.

Yes I also have been hit twice in the last month. Now it looks like it has happened again on the same item. I have all the blocks in place. They just open a new account with a different ID and do it again. Seriously what do they get out of it, dont they have a life. I am seller who is just trying to downsize, it should not be this hard. Is there no way to stop these serial pests - which is what they are.

The main reason why it is 4 days in au is to allow for the time difference as we are billed via the US time zone. Takes a while for everything to catch up and align.
