Item sold, buyer happy and posted positive comment. Registered buyer and seller since 2012. EBay taken payment of fees immediately. Payment still in hold. No excuse for this. And sadly there is nothing one can do. You are at the mercy of eBay. It has soured the whole transaction sadly. I guess the message here is ‘be prepared’

@sz_1984 wrote:Again, I sense the frustration, however I didn't create these T's and C's. I think I was just confused by the inconsistency around them, example it says 'proceeds from your sales typically become available within 2 days of confirming the buyer's payment', then below it mentions the 30 days etc, then the fact that 30 days was never the case with any items I sold previously, that's all.
Because things change. Ebay changes all the damned time. None of us ever used to have holds on funds when we started selling. Then it was brought in that new sellers had holds for 90 days or X amount of transactions. The holds back then were for 21 days.
Since scamming and hacking has become rife on this platform, as mentioned countless times, any new or infrequent sellers are now subject to 30 day holds. As a 20 year seller, I am subjected to it, because I am classed as an infrequent seller.
It doesn't matter how much you've sold in the past. If you are only selling one or 2 items a month now, you are an infrequent seller, so the rules apply to you. Same as they do for me. Same as they would for Sandy should she chose to start selling again.

I'm not even certain that sz_1984 has signed up for Managed Payments and been verified.
They haven't been specific enough in my mind.
If not verified, then they'll never get their money.
They say they are registered as a seller but may be unaware that they have to register and be verified under the ebay rules.
Registering as a seller | eBay
And where are all the sales they keep hammering on about?
I only see one recent and one a year ago on this account, and it's this account that they are complaining about.

Hey honored contributor, I have had payouts through the managed payments system. I mentioned this in previous comments.
It's honestly ok guys, it's just an opinion you don't agree with about a website, not Sharia Law.
Although, I have to take my hat off to you about how passionate alot of you are, about paying a fee to have your money held for 30 - null days after a transaction is successfully completed.... and you aren't even eBay employees.

OK, so you had one previous payout that happened in a few days - maybe look at that as a very fortunate happening where eBay didn't follow their own policies on "new sellers".
See - look at it that way and you've had a win...................

If you become a regular seller, there's not a 30 day wait.
You can choose when you want your money.
Most sellers choose to have a weekly payout.

As a couple of regular sellers, with weekly payments selected, I get paid weekly. It used to be Tuesday, now it's Monday.
I'm not passionate about it; I have properly signed up for MP, I don't sell sporadically, the system works for me.
Your issue seems to be, as said, that you don't believe eBay's terms should apply to you. As evinced by you claiming the eBay T&Cs you agreed to are somehow T&Cs other members have invented.
Rather than wasting your time on the boards, asking other members for help which you don't believe, your time could be more productively spent actually reading the T&Cs you agreed to.

That is right we are not (obviously you think we don’t know sarcasm when we see it)
Ok, so last time you got special treatment form eBay, which is contributing to why you believe you are special
Maybe that is what they are looking into now, why did you get special treatment when you shouldn’t have
You have spent almost 5 pages demonstrating you have no idea how eBay works, responded to factual replies with insults, what you seem to think as humerus responses and contradicting factual replies
All of which you preferred to spend your time doing rather than reading what you pretended to read in the first place
I am not passionate about anything ebay
I am equally not found of self entitled little people, nor I am I deluded enough to think eBay owe me special treatment

Nah, we are not passionate about it, you've got the wrong end of the stick.
We're just repetitive because we thought you were a bit thick and not getting the gist of how ebay works.
Personally, as a buyer, I am all for the 30 day hold on the money I have paid over, if it means I am covered by the 30 day ebay money back guarantee.
Back in the early days, I had a couple of bad experiences where the seller got my money but I got nothing, they just took off and failed to post, and there was not a thing I could do about it.
I also used to sell and had no hold on money but if I returned to selling, the initial 30 day hold wouldn't worry me unduly because I would know that it wasn't a permanent thing, not if I sold regularly & in a reasonable volume. Most of the regular sellers in this forum are not on a 30 day hold.
In fact, the 30 day hold would be the least of my worries as a seller. I'd be more concerned with some of the numpty buyers or scammers, which is one of the reasons I haven't returned to selling.
