Gumtree vistor counter ?

Hi just listed my first Gumtree listing, because it is a vehicle and is free on Gumtree, so wondering if Gumtree has a views/watchers counterfeature as per Ebay.

Ha found it in my account 64 views in a couple of hours, are you serious Gumtree, never had that amount of views in such a short space of time on any of our Ebay IDs ever, but its cheap so that could be it.

Yes, it's under your account.  And the reason you have so many views is because your advert starts at the top of the list for the category and then moves down as other people add their adverts.  So for a brief time, your advert is seen by a lot more.  You can purchase add-ons for your account to keep oy up the list, highlighted, on the home page, etc, and that's how Gumtree make their money.

Ah i see yes is gradually sliding down in the search rank, still the upgrades costs dont look to bad as compared to Ebay motors or Carsales.com.au.

I wouldn't worry about things dropping down the pages, I have sold things many, many pages down, more so than newly listed items that are near the top.
