I received an offer to list from ebay which I accepted, then was surprised to get a hefty bill from them the next month. I was somewhat annoyed as I sold some items for less than I would have . When I asked them about the terms it was not quite straight forward about where to find them all - particularly the date the offer applied, as the infoirmation was not in one place but rather ambiguously disclosed on a number of pages across the website, which was obviosuly difficult to find by the time I complained. Not happy ebay...

Your post says you received an offer to list, but listing fees are different to FVF fees
Did you have an offer for FVF or only listing fees?
Who did you ask about the terms (as in did you phone or use Live Help?)
The terms should have been attached to the offer when you recieved it
Only other buyers and sellers like yourself here, so if you can let us know exactly what the offer you recieved said, somewhere here will more than likely be able to give you a more accurate answer

You should read the terms and conditions of any ebay offers, before accepting. As for finding the T&C's that applied, it could not be any simpler. Go to your expired offers, locate which offer you wish to view, click on the heading (blue text) and you are taken direct
to the T&C's.

Maybe OP just saw the offer and listed.
Some, I've noticed, don't realise they have to actually 'accept offer' by clicking the button.
Which, maybe, is why they're having trouble finding which one it is.
Just a thought.

Unless it was that unlimited listings promo a week or so ago. As eBay had been offering completely fee free promos, a lot got confused and thought that promo was completely fee free too. In actual fact it was only insertion fees that were waived. I didn't accept that promo because the $1 weekends are more beneficial for me.
