Since 21st January this little charmer has dropped in my lap.
Additional 4% fee for Very High Item not as described rates
Thing is, according to the metric break down, my rate is NOT Very High.
Called ebay and it is being rectified.
Seems like a money grab because ebay has specified 0.40% as a return rate
based on a 'peer' group yet they have provided no details about what this
peer group is.

Yes indeed, we have copped the 4% extra fees and most of the returns are just people asking a question or not knowing how to use the product correctly. Still ebay will not remove them from our return 'item not as described' list even though buyers have clearly communicated it was their fault. Also now ebay will not remove negative feedback even if you have resolved the issue with a buyer UNLESS they have opened a return. How convenient for ebay!! We have always been around 1% to 2% which is normal for consumer electronics and were always told to not worry because the very high tier was around 5% until recently when they have obviously dropped it to virtually nothing to scrape some more income off sellers. We as a seller are absolutely disgusted by ebay and their dirty tactics and lack of seller protection. Cant wait to sell all of our stock and move on to something else. Good riddins EBAY!!!!

WHY DONT YOU SELL FOR LONGER THAN 2 MINUTES AND THEN COME BACK AND TELL US EVERYONE CONTACTS YOU FIRST BEFORE OPENING A RETURN OR LEAVING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK BECAUSE OF A LACK OF THEIR OWN COMPREHENSION!

davewil1964 is only this members posting ID for the forums here, they have many eBay accounts with sales in the 100,000s.
I am pretty sure that member would rarely get a return based on how thorough they have set up their listings, account etc.
BTW, maybe look at the date some of these posts/threads are from. (This was posted 2.5 years ago)
