I have been with Ebay for 20 plus years mainly as a buyer. Now I have started to sell.Sold two items recently for around 13k.Ebay are holding all of that?????With one sale going overseas and the postage is $2550 which the buyer has paid but Ebay will not release funds?????They expect me to pay postage out of my own funds to deliver the item? Can you imagine if it was shipped in a container it could be months before one gets reimbursed. On another note has any tried the chat to resolve issues?Tried three times and have been transferred to another section a total of 14 times. Is this a ruse?
Would love to hear from you guys.

Are you signed up and been accepted for Managed Payments?

Managed payments is a new term to me?Can you elaborate?

This is how you get paid, or not.
Go to Help (top/bottom of screen) and type in Managed Payments….it’s been this way for years….come back here if you get stuck….good luck!

It is something that has been in place for years, and is the ONLY way you will get paid.
It might pay to read up on eBay selling or you are in for a world of pain.
Additionally, eBay hold funds for up to 30 days for new/occasional sellers (which you are) and for high priced items (which you have sold), so you will be waiting a while, even after you sign up to MP.

First of all, you need to be registered to sell, fully verified with both personal and bank details
Transaction holds will apply but your payments will be On Demand
I recommend you end your current listings until you''ve completed registration successfully,
It's not always straightforward.
Your items are high priced and I recommend you only list with domestic postage.
All an overseas scammer has to do is open an 'item not as described' case with eBay's Money Back Guarantee and you'll lose your money and your item

Uhm, you have missed a lot.
You are required to ship the item in your stated handling time, you do not get to wait to receive payment from ebay, you will probably allready receive an account defect for that.
If the OS item has not been shipped , cancel the sale, at this stage you will only lose ebays fees. Otherwise I have a feeling you are going to lose the lot.
Might also be a good idea to remove the rest of your listings, until you know what you are doing.

Have I missed something?
I'm only replying because nobody has actually answered your original question with a straight forward "yes or no" response.
The short answer is "Yes"... but I'm guessing you've already worked that much out by now 😜
Sorry I wasn't around to share this extremely valuable information sooner

I can’t imagine a brand new seller selling anything without knowing anything about selling, let alone a massive amount of money like that
Especially with a high priced item going overseas, that is one sure way to be scammed by a buyer
If you fail to ship within your handling time, that will result in defects and possibly closure or your account by ebay
Chat is useless, they are not responsible for any of this and since you do not seem to be signed up to Managed Payments and verified to sell, there is literally nothing they can do
Managed Funds have been the only way for a buyer to be paid for over 6 years now
You really need to end any unsold items until you know how selling works
