Having issues with buyers not sending you a "request total" for multiple buy it now sales?

& Sick and tired of sending buyers a partial refund for a postage discount?

Apart from not seeing the request total in your cart on an iphone, you can't see the item number as well..

Never fear, apparently it's an ebay app issue, and said it should be sorted out in a few days.

I remember many years ago participating in the one and only time that ebay reps came onto the forum (it was supposed to be a weekly/fortnightly 'thing')

this issue among others was raised, and never 'fixed'

I will try & find it  - it is now a read only thread (but if still available to read, your hair will stand on end)

No wonder they never came back - it was all too hard for them to acknowledge!

Was that the one with michelle-oz twyn? If so there were a great many issues that were dumped in the "too hard basket"..............if not all of them.....

Edit. A lot of the issues she wanted to talk about by pm and NOT be visible on the boards.

Ebay knew about this that long ago?!

I couldn't make head or tail out of why buyers didn't sent me requests for totals at first

Turns out it's an inadequate app that they refuse to update?

I'm so disheartened by this.

I suppose I could revise my descriptions, but there's about 500 listings to do

If a buyer contacts you and wants to buy several items, and they are using the app, suggest to them that they go to the ebay site via the browser on their device. Initially it will probably come up as the mobile site. If that's the case, they need to scroll right to the bottom and select desktop site. They then should be able to add items to the cart and request a total. 

Given the desktop site isn't designed for mobile devices, there will be a lot of scrolling up and down, plus side to side, but it will work for them. For some that will be too hard, so just create a listing with the items they want.

Request total only works if buyer is using a laptop or PC & nooo...it won't be fixed in a few days.  This has been a problem for a few years now & yessss...sellers have been  contacting Ebay to no avail & have given up.

I just grit my teeth & refund excess postage, less fees.  I have over 3500 listings & every single one says if you want combined post  & can't request total contact me - guess what?  About 1in10 contact me first so I can do a special listing or adjust postage some other way - it's actually easier to just refund excess.

I have worked out that buyers don't read ad's they look at the pretty pictures,  then immediately send of an email asking what size,  do you combine postage, how much postage,  what did you have for breakfast.

That's all stuff I include in my hundreds of ads,  but they still ask,
