I wonder if it's time to refer this to the Department of Fair Trading? If eBay don't want to act on misleading items for sale, perhaps a fine will sharpen up their act? I'm getting rather disgusted by this lax approach. The seller is deliberately using double-meaning to deceive. Box is a common term for console, so even "box only" can infer console without games. The seller is not acting in good faith. Not good enough.
Joe.

That's what everyone was trying to tell the seller, but he refused to listen. He's already been negged once (which got removed). No idea how many times the sale will fall through before he gets the hint.

Sheeps, it's 2 buyer negs and 2 seller feedback removed, 5x listed and now relisted again in the same format ie very small type to indicate "box only", and still listed under "consoles"........................
"edit" to be fair there are quite a number of scammers that are trying this one on under the Ps4 console category, I know that doesn't make it right, but if one is referred to DFT then they all should be IMO.

jds_au and sheeps...
Our governments legal team are **bleep** ants compared to eBays legal eagles. They will eat the ACCC for breakfast.
eBay are above laws. It has been like that years ago.
Things like blocking sellers ID`s to protect (and increase) shill bidding make it very clear that by even destroying their own reputation eBay still survive on their existing customer base. Mind you, they could be doing much better if they did not adopt this policy of protecting scammers just for the fees.
