It will also prevent any credit card disputes... It all seems dodgy to me

I must have missed something...How excatly do you prevent a credit card dispute ?

A buyer pays with credit card. Then gets the item. Then asks for a "chargeback"...Where is the dispute ? There is nothing the seller can do. There is nothing eBay can do. There is nothing Paypal can. If the buyer files for a "chargeback" the seller loses the item, loses the money and maybe gets Neg Feedback as a reward... Where is the dispute ?

The ONLY way to prevent credit card disputes and credit card fraud is to NOT accept credit card payments !

Anyone that disputes that fact, is most likely engaged in credit card fraud themselves... !!!

Once again you, and your pretty alterego, fail to see the point.

If a buyer claims fraudulent CC use, they pretty much have to cut that card up. But, more topically, Paypal provide seller protection if the item is confirmed as SENT to the address provided through Paypal when the payment is made.

Paypal may well will claim that you are liable. But the FOS will claim Paypal is liable. The FOS trumps Paypal.

Very simple. And all stuff that your last teroll elicited. Are we going to have to put up with this rubbish every couple of weeks? I preferred the 'I'm closing my account' thread.

I am so admiring of the posts here, which cut right to the quick, are varied, thoughtful sardonic and give honest appraisals of the situation. You keep me entertained.
