How can we compete

Hi

How do we compete with a seller who sells at a loss, I purchased a pair of earrings to see how they package/post them, cost $1.99 aud, when the earrings arrived, the postage was $2.20 aud add ebay fees onto that your looking at maybe $2.50 aud so they losing $0.50 per sale, there is no way I can compete, and they have over 10,000 listings on ebay with 195k items sold, i checked their feedback history and most people buying the $1.99 earrings and not the more expensive to even out the so called sales. Ebay stated that they have other accounts with more expensive items to even out the sales......again how is this fair to the rest of us??

They litterly have a monopoly so why should I sell on ebay and is this happening with other items??

How can we compete with this????

Re: How can we compete

Maybe you should contact sellers of said cheaper than they should be items and insist they increase their prices so yours are the cheapest. I'm sure they'd be happy to lose sales and comply because you asked.

I'm still trying to get my head around someone saying that sellers can't set their own prices......'cos it's waaaay cheaper than mine, sob, boo hoo'

Now OP has me worried, I just cant move one of my items,  because really I stuffed up and should never have bought a box of them,  but we learn.  So have reduced to below what I paid, just to get rid of them,   Now I'm scared that OP will have Ebay knocking at my door with a cease and desist notice

Re: How can we compete

I dont want mine to be the cheapest just a fair playing field, and again you have 0 listings so obviously you just want the stuff for as cheap as possible regardless of the work that goes into them

you realise you have no valid points so now starting to just look at picky things rather than justify your argument.   You realise you are free to go to the ACCC or Judge Judy,  both will have a good laugh at you.

I have 6 selling accounts. Combined feedback of over 120,000.

I don't want the cheapest possible, I prefer to buy from reputable sellers, even if it is dearer than the Chinese, who you are obviously trying to compete with. Newsflash, you can't. I gave up trying years ago. Many prefer to buy my items because they know they will get them quickly. Not have to wait for the slow boat from China. Those that do decide to buy from China, no sympathy when it goes pear shaped.

Not sure what you mean by that. From my over 120,000 feedback, I've had nothing but happy customers. Never had a neg or a neutral. Nothing dirty about my selling tactics,

Oh, and it's "you're", not your.
