Hi there, first time posting for me - I've been buying and selling for 12 months or so, and people have been great. When I sell, I have a message in there saying "I will leave feedback when I know you have received and are happy with your purchase". Today I received this feedback from a recent buyer. "Leave Feedback" There's probably nothing I can do about blatant rudeness, but if there is, could someone let me know? It makes it seem to other buyers and sellers that I habitually don't leave feedback, and that isn't the case.
Cheers, AP

You could always contact eBay and request that they remove it on the basis that it is completely unrelated to a seller's performance - probably a 50/50 shot.
The buyer, even though unidentifiable, has just made themselves look silly. 900+ feedback and they're concerned about getting one more...? Plus, anyone overly concerned about your FB leaving comments and habits can just look at the feedback you've left for others, so I wouldn't be greatly concerned about the impression (if any) created by the comment.
I'd probably just leave it as is - the buyer then has a permanent record of their (IMHO) silliness, and it will disappear off the page before too long.

They left you a positive, be happy, not everyone likes to type words in feedback, many can't be bothered leaving F/B at all.
Ignore the brush off, it doesn't hurt anyone.
Cheers

We don't mention feedback in listings or any communication.
We sell, pack and post, leave feedback and archive the transaction.
If the buyer chooses to leave feedback it is totally up to them.

interesting that their feedback is private, likely they're hiding something in their feedback, which is why receiving another from you might be important to them. peharps they left that comment on an iphone one fingered and thats why's its brief. as someone else said its not worth stressing over. refelects on them.

Has there been a problem in the past by leaving feedback upon payment? I usually just leave it once I've posted but usually send a message after they've paid as a thankyou, advising them of postage and to let me know if there are any problems when it arrives.
Rarely (from my limited selling experience) will you find someone who is dodgy, so leaving feedback right away is a good/positive way to start the transaction, as someone once said on the boards.

You're probably right - they might think what they buy is nobodies business but their own.

If I were you, I would remove that bit from your message, where you say
"I will leave feedback when I know you have received and are happy with your purchase'.
As a buyer, I find that irritating.
Since being on the forum, i now understand a little bit of where you are coming from, but I think you would be better off just not mentioning feedback at all.

I still can't believe that there are sellers(even ones with a high selling ratio) who state in their listing that if the buyer has a negative or zero feedback that their bids will be cancelled????? I always have a laugh when I see this and contenplate sending them a message to let them know how wrong they are but in the end just couldn't be bothered and just move on.
