Large Letter mail can be no thicker than 2cm. I doubt you'd be able to find any way to fold jeans to get them to fit the large letter requirements.
From the Aus Post site:
Letter size guidelines
To be considered a letter, your item must:
- weigh less than 500g
- contain flexible items*
- have a rectangular shape
- be no larger than a B4 envelope (260mm x 360mm x 20mm)
- be no thicker than 20mm

Aus Post will either return it to you with an underpaid postage fine or they'll send it to the buyer who'll receive a card to say that extra postage is payable on collecting the parcel from their Post Office.

Do the jeans weigh less than 500g? Parcel postage will be $6.95. If you send it as a large letter it will very likely end up costing you more than the $3.95 difference in postage.

Hi , what would happen if I just drop it in the mail box, IF IT IS OVER THE LIMIT? Will they send it back to me, thanks for the reply
but of course, that is just hypothetical, right?

Yes it is your fault - certainly not fair the buyer may get penalised when you know you are sending it for the wrong price - so pay the correct postage

Yes it's your fault and you're the one who will get the negative feedback from an unhappy buyer.
