I have 1 defect from 7th October, 2013 still showing on my dashboard. I thought it would disappear after 12 months or at least after the first evaluation following 12 months.

I would ask eBay CS this question if I were you. I didn't think the defect system (DSRs) had been in that long.

I had one showing from September 2013 for ages.
Was told it was not counted in the number of defects - listed at the time.
Finally it went away.
How long do the 'defects' last - not sure about the 'defects' but the result of the 'defects' will last a lifetime.

Interesting question..IMO it depends on how much ebay are making off you..I was looking at a seller yesterday who has sold 335000 items over the last year. In that time he has racked up 3536 neutrals and 4045 negs. If they are making enough money off you it would appear your allowed to rack up as many as you like. There were306 negs just in the last month on 3500 sales lol. It's amazing what some folks can get away with just as long as EBay are making good money off them.

Hi, I wrote an email earlier this week to CS because I could see I had 2 defects from Nov 2013. The agent who responded assured me that those 2 defects had already been removed from my Performance standards but would not impact my defect percentage until Nov 20 but 'rest assured' (one of their favourite phrases) would disappear with the Nov 20 evaluation. . . . . .Guess what !?. . . .They are still there with the percentage being impacted by them.
When you ask for help or accurate information from CS, 90% of the time, what you can be assured of is that whatever they tell you will be wrong or at the very least, inaccurate !!!
