Had a customer who bought a branch of silk flowers from me and then she left a negative feedback saying that it is rubber and plastic....
Hey mate, silk flower does not mean they are made from silk as golden age does not mean it is built by gold.
Also the material used for the silk flowers is called PU not what she thought as plastic or rubber.
What can we do when sellers meet ignorant buyers? I offered full refund and would like to solve the problem but she refused.
Then I phoned ebay to see what we can do. Ebay said it is a normal opionion and they can do nothing. I said if my description is not accurate, the buyer can report me. What happened if the buyers' feedback is not accurate? Ebay replied me saying that this is only an opinion~~which means it does not need to be accurate T_T
Can anyone give me some suggestion what to do?
Thanks!!
Have a nice DAY!

I don't think that your listing was set to be deceptive as some people probably refer to artificial plants & flowers as silk flowers. But i also do not think that your buyer is wrong or ignorant.
I also do not like clothes listings that waste my time by referring to fabrics as "ice silk" to wriggle into the silk category that people like.I find that more deceptive.
For the record, those lillies are a fleshy thick type flower that would be much more natural looking with the whatever rubbery fabric that is used in your items.I have some in flower right now.If it was actual silk or silk type fabric they would not look real

Count me ignorant too!!! I thought the word "silk" means silk, it does in my dictionary. As for phoning people over things like this I can't believe anyone could would!!! Sounds more foolish, unprofessional and immature, and as for harassing people I wouldn't tell you that "if you don't stop ringing I will call the cops". I would just go to the police and report you for harassment.
As a seller I have too had a few bad or negative comments that I tried to refund and fix but the buyers refused refunds or for me to fix and Ebay would not have the comments removed no matter what. I just got over it and moved on with life and kept selling, there always will be some people out there that will never see things the same as you do because we are all different. That's life!!!

So after clicking on the View Item link against your negative feedback, I've been getting one of those "sponsored links" to the same item as yours. Just thought you may be interested that they have them listed as .. PU Calla Lily Shaped Artificial Flowers
I'm of the opinion that if it says silk, then it should be silk. Sorry but you have to be really specific in this game, there is no room for anything else...when buyers can't touch or feel the item before buying.
Sorry for your neg, but you will just have to go with it. Ebay won't remove it, no matter how undeserved or wrong it is.

I hope you realise that buyers read these boards too.
If your buyer has read this thread I can understand why she would refuse to talk to you...calling a buyer ignorant because she believed that silk flowers might actually be silk is just not on.
In view of the fact that there are artificial flowers made of silk I would be negging you too if you sent me anything other than silk as advertised.

If a clothes seller tried to get away with selling polyester as silk they would quite rightly be negged, what makes the OP any different. In the OP's world silk may be a generic term for any artificial flower but not in my world nor I suspect that of the vast majority of buyers.

OP, I for one wouldn't care or know the difference!
To me and thousands others term silk flowers means something merely used to differentiate artificial from fresh flowers.
Even in large stores (from memory) you'd go "into the silk flower department" - but God only knows what sorts of materials were used to make all that stuff - even a small indoroos trees!
And the posters who are in such a hurry to tell you how they would also neg you if you didn't supply real silk flowers do so as this is Ebay and it's possible to do all of that for any, even a slightest misdemeanour - while they couldn't do the same on any other shopping site - nor advise others to do the same.
And your customer is ignorant, and also what appears to be very ill manered (it kinda goes hand in hand) - for putting the phone down on you!
While it's OK for her to show the whole world how ignoramt of the commonn terms she really is - and leave you the damaging f/back, she obviously felt too uncomfortable to talk about it and explain her ill thought out actions!

Silk is a very delicate fabric, an manmade flower head made from PU wouldn't resemble delicate silk (artificial or real) in any way.
