Is anyone else confused with what to do to remove active content from their listings? I have written to Activa to ask them to remove the scrolling gallery but not sure what else to do. Do I have to make my listing a certain size font or can I keep the one I have? Anyone have any suggestions?

I would strongly suggest you don't use Word to generate your Description Pages. Word has a lot of hidden code that can conflict with eBay layout and lead to unexpected layout problems with many unexpected errors.
If you are not using HTML, generate your page using a Text editor such as Notepad rather than Word.

Thanks for the suggestion. I received another email from Ebay saying it was fine to use word to copy and paste, but may try your suggestion as it is such a huge job for me that I don't want to have to do it more than once! I know what I will be doing for the next few days, or even weeks!!!!!

As an example of why not to use Word which you appear to have used in your heading for 311813069029 (THESE GORGEOUS VOODOO SKINNY PANTS HAVE FREE TRACKABLE POST!!! RRP $44.95!! )
Using Word the HTML is
<p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:18.0pt;font-family:"Arial Black"; color:#F30094">THESE GORGEOUS VOODOO SKINNY PANTS HAVE FREE TRACKABLE POST!!! RRP $44.95!!</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: "Arial Black"; color: rgb(243, 0, 148);"></span><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: "Arial Black"; color: rgb(243, 0, 148);"></span></p><span style="font-size: 18pt;"></span><p class="MsoBodyText2"><style>@font-face { font-family: "Wingdings"; }@font-face { font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; }@font-face { font-family: "Impact"; }@font-face { font-family: "Arial Black"; }p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }h1 { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; font-size: 24pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-weight: bold; }h2 { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; page-break-after: avoid; font-size: 14pt; font-family: "Arial Black"; color: purple; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline; }h3 { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; page-break-after: avoid; font-size: 14pt; font-family: Impact; font-weight: normal; }p.MsoBodyText, li.MsoBodyText, div.MsoBodyText { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }p.MsoBodyText2, li.MsoBodyText2, div.MsoBodyText2 { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; font-size: 14pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }p.MsoBodyText3, li.MsoBodyText3, div.MsoBodyText3 { margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-size: 10pt; font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; color: black; }a:link, span.MsoHyperlink { color: blue; text-decoration: underline; }a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed { color: purple; text-decoration: underline; }p { margin-right: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }span.medium { }span.apple-style-span { }div.Section1 { page: Section1; }ol { margin-bottom: 0cm; }ul { margin-bottom: 0cm; }</style>
When all that is required for the same result is
<span style='FONT-SIZE: 18pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; COLOR: #f30094'><strong>THESE GORGEOUS VOODOO SKINNY PANTS HAVE FREE TRACKABLE POST!!! RRP $44.95!!</strong></span>

When the deadline comes, Auctiva will remove all their active content from all of your listings (providing you have a current 'eBay token' which are geneerated on the Auctiva site.

I have just revised two listings and it wasn't too bad with the method you suggested. It will be very time consuming but it is worth it as I don't want to lose all my listings!! Thanks so much 🙂 You are a star!!!!!

Not had any problems with Ebay adds loading with active content on my iPad or smart phone , just think its another bull**bleep** rule to save ebay money somewhere along the line

Probably because ebay has not yet turned off active content.
The problem with listings being slow to load has more to do with the advertisements that ebay puts on the site, rther than the active content the sellers have on their listings.

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions. Spent three days copying and pasting my listings onto word pad and then back again. All done and approved and all active content removed!! Had to make sure all my listings had plain text and no fancy text. Just check on your listing with HTML and you can delete from there.
Good luck to all-it is not that hard, just very time consuming!!

For all those that have now removed their Active content, they should also check that they have Targets within their Links or they won't work when the No Active Content arrives.
So

Should read
