I was born the same year that the Spastic Centre opened in NSW.....I grew up while the term was not offensive but have managed to move on since the name was changed in 2011.
The regular members here that I know personally vary in age from their 40s to 70s so you need to recognise that different members are offended by different things, no matter who you are referring to.

marcia, I haven't used any third parties such as those but I am under the impression they just add features and functions to your own eBay account and you still need to list, post etc.
They may offer more than what I know.
Sounds like the best option for you is to find a relative/friend nearby to use their own account with you dropping items in on consignment and paid from the seller when sold less their commission.

I use inkfrog and it does have staff accounts. You can select what you want them to have access to, for example, you can let them make a listing, but not post it to ebay, that way you can look it over before you make it live.
Here is their help page about staff accounts:

I have some-one who is doing a bit of listing for me at the moment. I get them to schedule the listings for a couple of days time and I just check them before they go live. They only have a pass word to one of my selling accounts ( the smallest one ) and they dont have my paypal password, so cant access any money.
They clean the items, photograph them and use templates to do the listings, just changing photos and a few words in the title and description. It doesnt matter how clearly you describe what you want, some-one else is unlikely to do things exactly how you want them, so you have to be a bit flexible and not sweat the small stuff.
It is all working out OK at the moment except that they are quick learners and will soon be copying a lot of what I,m doing. Its a family friend so it doesnt worry me, but if you employ some random, you run the risk that they decide to copy everything you are doing and cut out the middle man ( you !!! )
You have got a good thing going, but it would be very easy to copy.

Why appologise, if someone gets offended, that is their problem.

Surely that depends on what has offended people.
Obviously you don't care if you give offense but some people are genuinely sorry if they give offense.

Under best match auction listings will usually rank higher than store listings which you will need to consider. Once you have a store you may not get the listings promos you get now. Unfortuantely there is no easy answer.
