Hey All

I was talking business at a networking day the other day and this guy said he had just found how to have his ebay fees capped to $500 per month.  He said it is great and so he is opening a second store.

Cheers

I am sure most sellers would like to get the answer to that question.  Maybe you should ask your business contact how he does it.

and make sure you come back and tell us all.

Personally, I doubt that there is a way to cap your monthly fees to $500.  If there was I am sure many would know about it.

edit: just re-read your opening post . . . . and here's the kicker that shows it was all talk . . . . If you could cap your fees at $500 per month then why on earth would you open another store? . . . . and have a $500 cap on the second store . . . . doesn't make sense to choose to have a second store just to pay another $500 in fees . . . . does it?

Ummm.... your ID and post content is recognisable. http://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Selling/I-heard-that-listing-fees-can-be-capped-to-500-per-month-How...

I don't get it. o_O

Also, if you really could have eBay fees capped at $500 a month, why open a second store?

yep, must be store 'listing fees' capped at $500 per month . . . . not total fees . . . . final value fees would still be applicable, unless he is saving on listing fees and not selling a single item . . . . in which case his total fees would be $500 per month.  eBay would not forfeit the final value fee cashcow.

Still wouldn't explain why you would open a second store if your fees on one ID were capped.

the $250 cap is per item and not monthly total

OK so none of the store packages options offer what the OP suggests.

The chart in my link could be misleading to new sellers  then?

Final value fee cap$250.00

That is all it says.
