Did you have blocks in place to prevent people from overseas buying from you? Just not listing international postage is enough, you need to also block the countries.
You can try and ask the buyer to cancel, but if you use the excuse in the cancellation that buyer is in a location I don't post to, you'll cop a defect.
Has the buyer paid?

As sheep said. If you cancel the transaction on those grounds, you will cop a defect.

Boy you have got yourself in a pickle !
Your listing says NOTHING about not posting o/s and you offered CASH ON DELIVERY !!!
Good luck.......why jump in before checking the depth of the water ???

Ouch,
You will have to cancel and cop the defect and the negative that may come as well from the buyer.
Site Map - bottom of every page - Read up on procedures before relisting so you don't get yourself into a mess again.
Come here and ask for advice if you need to, it can be confusing, and best to ask before a problem arises than after,

I disagree with you. The listing quite clearly says 'Posts to Australia'. There shouldn't be any need to put blocks in place for other countries when the statement is there in black and white. And the $15.00 postage is again clearly within Australia, as that is what is listed.
The 'Cash on Delivery' is quite obviously meant as 'Cash on Pick up' - a lot of sellers make that small inaccuracy in their listings. But hey, you didn't mention that PayPal was offered as a payment method!!
I agree with character_parties, put a huge postage amount on it, which would solve the problem. OP advise the buyer that it will cost $XX to post, and do they want to do a rethink. I understand that 'change of mind' is a legitimate reason now for a buyer cancelling a transaction.
So, other posters, why should there be a defect involved?

$300 delivery probably wouldn't be too over the top as you cannot send anything containing a lithium battery overseas using Australia Post. You need to only quote domestic postage and then go into your bidder blocks and block members with a primary delivery address you do not post to.
You are most unlikely to come out of this unscathed so please do your homework before listing anything else, especially the fact that COD is a delivery service where the buyer receives payment when the goods arrive, it odes not mean cash on pickup.

I would find out first if it is a legitimate buyer in the first place.....
Overseas scammers usually target electronics/high priced items and they don't care where the item is located.

In the listing it also states Posts to Australia -
It doesn't say anything about postage overseas.
