I think Registered Post should be mandatory

Im really sure that Ebay should have Registered post as a mandorty selection if your selling something.

Your almost sure to lose the item by not sending it Registered!

Seriously tho, can sellers just start offering it? would make things a lot easier and smoother!

One of Ebay's "Notorious" original wack jobs!

If we want it we can always use our brains AND our fingers to ASK the seller for it.

But the seller doesn't have to oblige unless eBay makes it a mandatory option.

Why should the seller have to if it's not convenient? If the seller's terms don't suit the buyer then they shouldn't buy, and if ebay dictate the seller's terms then some sellers would be forced off ebay because they couldn't meet them.

If a person lives several miles from the PO they shouldn't have to make a special trip to the PO just to register something for a buyer.

I offer standard postage, registered and express for my large letter items. I think in 5 years I've had 3 people opt for registered. Registered covers the seller, not the buyer. The buyer has options to get their money back if it doesn't arrive. A seller has a smidge more protection if it's sent registered with tracking and signature. Therefore, very few buyers are going to opt for that method unless it's the only option available. Most will opt for the cheapest method because they know they can get a refund regardless.
