Improve on the SEARCH on here please!

eBay you greatly need to improve your search on here!  You have items listed for sale in category's they should NOT be listed in such as garden solar powered lights listed in the same place as solar powered security camera's.   The categorizing of items on here is frustrating and completely unmoderated!   I typed in the search box solar powered security camera and got taken to a page full of DUMMY or FAKE solar powered security camera's!  IF I wanted FAKE security camera's I would have typed in FAKE or DUMMY security camera's. 

I then typed in Security Camera in the search box that took me to this page:

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=bird+cage&_osacat=1281&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313...

On this page half way down it states in big black writing:

More items related to "security camera"

Under this heading is a item listed as a

800 L/H Anti-Corrosive Submersible Aqua Aquarium Fountain Pond Marine Water Pump

Since when is a Aqua Aquarium Fountain Pond Marine Pond Water Pump even related to a SECURITY CAMERA I would like to know? 

I have found similar listings like this all over your site that are not categorised properly due to poor administration or moderation by eBay staff!

Please will you do some thing about the search on this site in order to improve it greatly so that potential buyers can find what they are looking for with out the hassle or frusteration of having to scroll through pages of items for sale that have been miscategorized and not categorized properly!

Ummm!! Totally sympathesize but you are not speaking with ebay here.

You would have to contact ebay directly with this problem. Good luck with that.

Lol ........ type in a search word like "Tupperware". You'll see fashion handbags, barista coffee equipment, disposable drinking cups, batman lunch boxes and bulk plastic bags.

 I don't like anyone's chances of having the categories improved when a direct search term such as 'Tupperware spice' turns up a whole lot of stuff that is not tupperware-right at the top of the search & often well before items that actually have both search terms in their title.

Using the Tupperware example, if you wantto filter out results,  put a minus sign before the word you want to filter out. Example : Tupperware -spice. That will filter out anything with spice in it.

That's good to know for future ref on some things.

I had actually been looking up Tupperware spice containers and expected to see the items that contained both terms at the top of my search list, but they weren't.

The issue is that when you type in a search word such as "tupperware", items that have nothing to do with tupperware but are listed in the tupperware category appear AND they certainly do not have tupperware in their title.

I just had an interesting conversation in ebay "Chat" regarding 'tupperware' and I was told that although it can be misleading, sellers can list in the category they choose ........ so that's why you will see all sorts of stuff pop up in a search for tupperware.  I must keep this in mind when I am buying items in other categories.  It was also confirmed that word search is all about the category first, then the words in the title second ........ interesting.
