Has anyone else noticed an increase recently of buyers who accidentally purchase more than one of the same item? It's happened three times in the past two weeks. Has been a rare occurance otherwise. I don't know if it's a bug with eBay or something else.

Yes it seems to be happening a lot. I even had one buyer buy 6 different lots of the same item but in multiple quantities and then just buy one lot and she didnt even reply to my emails to ask her if she meant to buy so many - and of course we have to hold the items in case they really meant to buy multiples.

Yes - it seems to be when buyers use the phone app.

If you change your mind before paying and hit the back arrow,
all of a sudden you have ordered two, instead of the one you now don't want
Strange but true. Had to apologise to a poor seller and requested
'buyer changed mind' Bought one anyway, felt bad

It's happened to me a few times lately. It seems to be when buyers use either the app or the cart.

It started happenning to me when the new cart function was added last year. The cart has faciltated my buying but when it comes to selling I have about one accidental purchase a week.
I get in contact with the buyer and sort it out but for some reason buyers are always loath to accept the cancellation notice I send through. This meant that I had to wait the 5 days (or was it 7?) until I can cancel it myself.
Today I noticed that I can't even cancel the transaction myself. I've sent a query to Customer Service to ask what can be done as Ive paid fees for a sale which hasn't really occurred.

Thanks for all your replies, seems it's a wide problem on eBay.
It's just happened again.
