Is it time for me to be a store? Done to death I know...

Yes this has been done to death I know but I just would like some clarification.

So things have taken off well this year, although this month ain't too flash... I just had a look at my fee's, insertion fee's in particular. From the 17th of last month to today I have been charge 32 times for insertion fee's out of the 68 items sold during this period. Total of $91.50 in insertion fee's. And then there's three BIN listing fee's of 10c each.

I Currently have 12 items I sell and maybe will expand but we will see how it goes like this first...

If I'm reading the store fee's correctly they are a flat rate of 20c for a basic store so I would be better off. But am I missing anything?

I pay $49.95 a month for a basic store, it says basic and featured are the same price, how come you quoted $19.95 for a basic store?

Basic was discontinued a few months back and is now coming back 🙂

I crunched your numbers and you should be staying where you are, with a Featured Store, from the 1st of May. If you go to a Basic Store you will be paying more.

So if I sign up now for a basic store will store fee drop automatically next month? I'm assuming it will but with Ebay you never know.

Basic store does not exist now.

However, you will get significant savings if you sign up for Featured Store now.

I would do it if I was in your shoes. Listing GTC items should raise your sales within the next month making the $5 difference worthwhile if you were to get a Featured Store.

From the 1st of May, all things being equal, if you do not pay for extras (subtitles, double categories, auctions etc), and you do not change the number of listings and prices, and your sales stay the same as they are now, your fees will look something like this:

NO STORE: $200

BASIC STORE: $135

FEATURED STORE: $145

Of course, you need to take into account what you would be doing differently if you had a featured store and whether you would then list more and try to make more money.
