Is it time for me to be a store? Done to death I know...

Yes this has been done to death I know but I just would like some clarification.

So things have taken off well this year, although this month ain't too flash... I just had a look at my fee's, insertion fee's in particular. From the 17th of last month to today I have been charge 32 times for insertion fee's out of the 68 items sold during this period. Total of $91.50 in insertion fee's. And then there's three BIN listing fee's of 10c each.

I Currently have 12 items I sell and maybe will expand but we will see how it goes like this first...

If I'm reading the store fee's correctly they are a flat rate of 20c for a basic store so I would be better off. But am I missing anything?

As of 1 May a basic store should give you 80 free listings a month, but only for BIN listings.

Auction listing fees will be a minimum of $1.50 per insertion.

I would be going BIN only if it's auto parts and a basic store.

If you switch over to a Basic Store in May and your sales stay the same (without paying extra for subtitles etc) your eBay fees will go to around $220 per month. However, you can then do multiple quantity listings with GTC and your exposure should increase significantly, thus raising your sales (theoretically).

Can you please elaborate on that calsof? If I get 80 free listings p/m it should be less. I don't list 80 items a month.

Also with multiple quantity listings. Is each item counted per listing as a, listing. E.g I sell one item description with a qty of 10. So thats 10 of my free listings gone???

No you do not have to pay multiple times for multiple listings. 1 listing can have 100 items. So if you have multiples of 80 items, you do not have to pay extra to list them.

GTC is Good till cancelled. This means every month your listing will relist itself automatically. Therefore, if your items never sell out, your listing will never expire. The more sales you make out of a listing, the higher it will go in search results. Also, buyers will see OVER 10 AVAILABLE - 23 SOLD (for example).

If you are now paying close to or over the $220 per month, I would go for a store on the 1st of May.

Ahh thanks, that makes sense. Well do date my bill from Ebay is getting close to $350. So I think i am better off going a basic store...

By the way, you will only be paying $225 per month with current sales if you get a Featured store, you will have 200 free listings and only 7% FVF for future increased sales. So you might want to upgrade straight up to a Featured Store 😉

I'd stay with basic until sales warranted featured. It's easy enough to upgrade.
