Is there a specific forum for Turbolister issues?

I am having an issue trying to upload listings to eBay from TL and wondered if there is a specific forum for raising TL specific issues?

Not on the Australian Boards but if you go to the US Site there is a Board called "Tools and Apps" for TL questions.

 

What is the problem I may be able to help!

I can create listings, I can sync, but when I try to upload listings to eBay, during the fee calculation stage the screen greys out and I get an error message saying TL has encountered an error and needs to close, then it boots me out and closes the program.

Couple of things to try.  Remove all the items from the waiting to Upload, and then add just 1 and see if that will upload if thats ok then  add all back and retry.  If it grays out again, one of the items has an error and is crashing the lot.  Becomes a process of elimination to find which one.

 

Also could try under "Tools" "Compact Database", this will often fix minor errors.

Next "Tools" "Check for program updates" there was a large update a couple of nights ago.  Download and try that.

As a last resort there is "Install a Complete Version Update"

Okay, tried removing all the listings, then adding just 1, that worked just fine.

Then I added 5, again they uploaded fine.

Here is where the trouble starts, the original problem always occurred on item 7.  So I added 10 more, the error came up straight away, so methinks, ah...#7 is the dud.  So I removed #7 and tried uploading the other 9, error came up right away. 

 

Next I tried compacting the database...no joy.

 

Checked for updates...still no joy.

 

Complete version update...same again.  I may have to do a complete uninstall and reinstall.

 

I did make one discovery though, the TL program can be run from Dropbox.  I asked about this a while back and someone said it didn't support this, but it seems to work for me.

Sounds like more than one item is corrupted, so I would remove those 10 and redo them probably 2 or more have an issue.  Possible occured when saving.

Have you tried changing the compatability?

 

Right click on the TL start icon, click Properties then the Compatability tab.

 

Tick the box for Run this program in compatability mode for: 

 

Choose Windows XP (service pack 2) in the drop down menu.

 

Apply and then OK.

I don't think it can be faulty listings, I had a copy of the program saved on my cloud drive (just in case things went wrong when I upgraded my OS a couple of months back).  I started TL from the cloud drive, restored the backup I did yesterday before all this started, and tried uploading the same listings.  No errors, all went fine.  So then I checked for updates, and then synced, and now I have everything back to normal.. Now I will delete the version on my hard drive and keep using the one on the cloud.  That suits me better anyway as I use multiple devices and this way I can work with my listings from anywhere.
