A buyer from Italy bought $250 worth of goods from me. Then changed his mind, said it was a mistake, he only meant to add to watch list. I said no probs and I have decided not to deal with Italy anyway due to shipping problems
This morning a couple of hours before I can lodge unpaid item dispute to get my listing fees back, he pays via paypal.
I smell a rat. I know in ,y soul that if I ship the items, I will lose them and my money.
What would you all do?

I would send the items your buyer has paid for, making sure that you send registered international mail and keep copies of the paperwork so that you are covered under PayPal Seller's Protection policy:-)

Thanks motherbear2003, however I have read some posts that indicate that despite keeping records as you describe, if the buyer says they did not arrive, I lose my money and my goods.

Ordinary click and send airmail, has protected me twice now
and is cheaper than registered

I would post them off using click & send with signature required and if the buyer claimed non receipt when the tracking showed as delivered I would rely on Paypal/ebay finding in my favour and if the didn't I would involve the ombudsman.
I would also exclude Italy from the countries you post to if you are not comfortable sending items there.
