Hi, I sold two items to the same buyer and put the postage cost as Free Postage in both listings, so anyone in Australia would see it as Free. However in the listing description, I said that it's only Free in NSW but may cost more to post to other states, and to contact me afterwards and postage would be calculated.
I actually forgot that I said the last bit and after the buyer paid (with no contact), I marked it as posted. Do I have any rights here, in the case of postage possibly being quite expensive since they are in another state?
Thanks very much.

Look at click and send satchels. They're flat rate and a 3kg satchel will only set you back $10.55 (plus purchase price). I don't know if your VHD will fit, but it's worth a try.
In general, C&S is cheaper than other postage rates. It is flat rate, so a good option if the postage calculator isn't working properly. eg If the latest Turbolister update imposed Imperial weights and measures on us. Plus, signature on delivery, which gives the same level of protection as registered, is only $1 extra.

Thanks, Dave. C&S seems great but I'm happy with the way it is now. I just need to be a bit better with the postage for some things. They were both sent today and hopefully will arrive as intended.
It was hard to write their name on the 5kg satchel. If anyone uses those, I suggest a texter of some kind. With a pen it got smudged a bit and wasn't as clear as writing on normal parcels.

If you state postage is free but might be a bit more if not in NSW then what is more than free?
Free is free.
If you had postage at $2.00 and then stated it might be a bit more if not in NSW then the buyer would have an idea (but still not know the cost of postage outside NSW) which would still be next to useless information but a little more helpful that being a bit more than free.
